I had hcg injection on 13 the day of my cycle (sept 3) around 11.30 am. Follicle size 20. 2 mm I checked with I know ovulation kit on day 13night, it was negative. And day 14 morning I got a two-lines in opk. But test line was not so dark as control line. I checked again in afternoon, it showed the same. And night I got very faint line on opk. (may be due to excess water drinking. Also had intercourse on day 14 night. Day 15 (sep 5) morning, I checked with opk it shows darker line than day 14. But my husband is very tired to intercourse today. And also he said, it ll take at least 24 hrs again to produce good quality sperms. Is that true? Is it ok to not intercourse today? When did I exactly ovulated? Day 14 or day 15. I have pcod. And trying to conceive for 2.5 yrs.

Usually ovulation occurs around 30 hours after inj, so in your case 14 th day evening or night is good time for intercourse. Sonography is better to indicate about ovulation rather than urine test. It is common for male not being able to have erection and ejaculation on demand. Not that 24 hours are always required for good quality of semen. To avoid problem of on demand semen- option of semen bank can be used and to have artificial insemination.
