Hello. Yes continue the medications if prescribed by a dermatolgist. Topical steroid (propynate nf) nd minoxidil (mintop) are the treatment modalities for alopecia areata. Oral steroid is prescribed when the lesions are diffuse (multiple patches) or rapidly progresive .be under regular follow up oral steroid is given in tapering doses. Thanks.
