For 16 months old child which laxative is best. Lactitol or polyethylene glycol with or without electrolytes. Among these which causes no or less abdominal cramps, fullness and bloating. Please advice. Thanks.

Since the baby is too young I would suggest you with homeopathic medicine which is gentle and does not have any adverse effects. You can give senna 6c potency 8-10 pills thrice daily for 5 days. Simultaneously you focus on giving the child fibre rich foods like prunes, pear, plums etc also whole wheat pasta and brown rice is preferable.

Plain water is best. At least one litter in all form to be given frequently small doses. Fiber rich feeds like boiled vegetables and fresh whole fruits.in the evening.
