I am 30 years old with pcos, doctor has put me on metformin twice a day, I took the pill for a month and stopped taking it for about a 5 months, that was my carelessness, now im trying to conceive, should I continue taking it. Also I do have my menstrual cycles every month but the days are different.

Yes, you can take Metformin if you have Insulin resistance. You can do ovulation monitoring with timed intercourse to help you conceive
