I have irregular periods since it first started. I have acne problems too since puberty. Last year I was diagnosed pcos. I took prescribed contraception pills like pills for four months. Then I stopped taking them as my period became regular. But acne problems didn?t cure. I never consulted any dermatologist because I am afraid the prescribed medicines may harm my other body functions as acne bears no dysfunction except social hindrance. But for few months I get back my period irregularities. My current cycle is 20 days delayed and counting. Acne became severe. One week ago I found some blood stained clot from vaginal area for only once and no further vaginal bleeding. Should I start those pills again as prescribed earlier? Should I finally visit any dermatologist?

Pcos is a disease where there is a hormonal imbalance. Depending on your complaints, examination, reports, and stage of life treatment differs, and it also needs more time to get yourself treated with patience. Meet gynecologist in whom you have trust as you will need to go for a long time to him/her. Overweight is very common so in case you have that reduction of weight helps tremendously.
