I have been prescribed fas 3 for active vaginal infection (no test done to know whether its fungal or bacterial). I have no pain in the area, just itching and white lumpy and watery discharge. I have already consumed fas 3 six years earlier. Is it safe to use fas 3 at present? Is it banned? Can I also go for sporlac ds tab as alternative to ecoflora?

There is no test required if the white discharge is itchy and curdy. It most favour yeast or fungal origin. If you want to go by probable diagnosis. Go ahead with definitive diagnosis of vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity. The medication is not banned as of now. The probable reason would be use of antibiotics stress etc you can combine probiotics but you can take fas 3 as a primary treament.
