I am a 17 year old girl when I was 13 I was admitted to icu for shortness of breath and low oxygen level. So I had ards. As I was young I did not know much about it. I was 9 days in icu 7 or 6 days on ventilator support (i do not know it was a machine which gave out oxygen on high pressure. 10 th day moved to ward and 12th day discharged. After that my immunity is average and above average now that I am 17. So here is my question 1) can ards come back? 2) is it safe for me to go out during covid times? 3) is this a serious issue? Do I still have ards?

Many people with ards recover most of their lung function within several months to two years, but others may have breathing problems for the rest of their lives. Even people who do well usually have shortness of breath and fatigue and may need supplemental oxygen at home for a few months. Ards will not come back unless there is a cause like a severe virus infection or severe bacterial infection leading to sepsis. You should relax and decide about going out if it is necessary with the standard personal protection.
