Hello, 1. As the medicine has been stopped after 9 years of use following advise of the doctor, it falls in the realm of log use of haloperidol. 2. The half life of haloperidol in such cases is around 21 days, to explain in terms the day she stopped haloperidol half of the haloperidol will be eliminated in 21 days or so. If say it was 100 in 21 days it will be 50, after another 21 days it will be 25 and in each cycle it will half 12.5, 6.25 and continue like that. I hope you have understood. Sop your friend must have eliminated it by now to very very very negligible level.
