Dear Lybrate user, it must be hard what you are going through. Don't worry things will get better, if you get the right help. With regard to medication please consult a psychiatrist and tell him/her all about your concerns about the tablets your other medical conditions etc. They will suggest accordingly. I will also ask you consider therapy or counselling. It can help with the short temper with anger management and the guilt you are feeling, your thoughts etc. Especially cognitive behaviour therapy can help greatly. Counselling will help you in managing the above concerns better. If you need any more help you can contact me as well. I'll be happy to help. Regards, aaradhana reddy counselling psychologist.

Hi, I can understand your situation. Based on the information provided be relaxed that the medicine will help you. However it needs to be changed a little when you are taking it for long-term. I would advise you to meet your psychiatrist and ask if he would like to change the medicine. Regarding the guilt feeling this is an obvious thing for someone who is god-fearing. There is always a fight between our instincts and morals, we as humans have always been struggling to get through this fight. This is a normal feeling of guilt, but in your case it seems to be little excessive. For this I would request you to talk to a psychiatrist or a therapist and take proper counselling.

Your doctor will inform you about when to stop and how long you need to use this medication. I think you are unnecessarily obsessing about various things to disturb for the least problems. Your imprisonment is all in your mind. Meet with a counselor too and learn how to deal with your feelings and to follow a regimen of exercise, diet, stress-free living and sleep.
