Hi. I have pcod from my school days, I use to take glycomet 500 mg as proscribed by my gynecologist couple of years ago. I conceived coz of this tablet. I'm still having pcod and irregular periods due to stress and tension. Which is y i've put on weight. I've started work from home. I work night shift. Just wanted to know if I can continue glycomet 500 mg again. It won't create any problem for me, right?;. I have a daughter of 7.5 yrs. If I can take glycomet 500 mg. For how long should I take, for how many months.

Pcod is a treatable not a curable disease. Hence it's better to continue with metformin as much as possible to keep it in control. There are no severe side effects nor does it affect children. Along with the metformin, I would also recommend a healthy lifestyle and diet and also getting your thyroid levels checked.
