Have a undisplaced ulnar shaft fracture after a fall. How long do the plaster stays for and should I take supplements like calcium or vitamin for quick healing. Should I stop chymoral forte now .had the fracture 10 days back?

If you are having undisplaced ulnar shaft fracture it will heal if it is immobilised for a minimum of 4-6 weeks & as you are having fracture it is recommended for you to tkae calcium tablet once a day for atleast a month. Chymoral forte is given for the swelling to subside post fracture maximum for 5 days so no need ofr you to continue taking chymoral forte as of now .in nutshell continue pop cast for 4 weeks in total get an xray done to see if fracture has healed or not and if the fracture has healed by 4/6 week according to xray you can get your plaster removed. But better to continue taking calcium medication for a total of 2 months for the fracture. Hope my answer helped you.
