Can a virgin woman get pid with chronic and persistent yeast infection? I never had intercourse in my whole life. My hyphen is unbroken but I have periods like other women and once I inserted my finger in vagina a very little. Am I still safe from pid disease? Is there any other disease that can occur from yeast infection and cause infertility? My doctor said pid is caused by bacteria and not yeast. But then I read articles on internet and some people telling me yeast infection can cause pid. What is true?
