My baby is 10 months old. For the first 6 months i've been feeding him both breast milk and formula as milk seemed to be insufficient for him. Now he is exclusively on formula as breast milk has got reduced. I regret as everyone keeps telling me that I shouldn't have introduced formula to him. Now wanting to reestablish breastfeeding, Dr. suggested me lactare tablet. After 30 tablets, no much increase in milk. How long should I continue? I feel so bad and realize that I should have exclusively breastfed my baby. Pls help.

exclusive breastfeeding is recommended first 6 months only later on if you had been do with formula of it there is no mistake and no need to request about it you continue your feeding until one year of baby and then try to stop it because your health also matters and your bones and general health will improve

There is no need to feel guilty as you have fed your baby as much breast milk as you could. Exclusive breastfeeding is the best option but it can be insufficient in some and formula needs to be given. Your baby is already 10 months old, you can stop the feeding by 12 months. Till then, drink lots of fluids and apply baby to breat frequently. Also start weaning the baby on other foods.
