I am a diagnosed case of pcos since 5 years. Have been on metformin 500 mg bd since 5 yrs. Periods were more or less regular. Contrary to popular stats, I have severe menorrhagia and polymenorrhea. Now, since 6 months, my cycles have gone hay wire. I workout more or less but now my periods are back in 2 weeks and stay for a month or more. Insulin levels are fine, which used to be haywire earlierwhat to do.

Pcos is a condition which paves the way for anovulation and hence irregular periods. You have to get your periods regularised with cyclical hormones and then induce ovulation. Once ovulation is restored, your cycles would not go hay wire. Any doubts you can contact me.
