Diarrhea is defined as passage of loose watery stool more than three times a day. The causes could be bacterial, viral, parasitic, food intolerance, effect of drugs like antibiotic, contaminated food and water etc.

The symptoms are -

1. Abdominal cramp
2. Abdominal pain with bloating sensation
3. Urgency to go to toilet
4. Frequency of loose motion with some times passage of mucus/ blood
5. May be associated with fever, nausea and vomiting
6 signs of dehydration like increased thirst, decreased frequency of urine, dry skin, fatigue, light headedness, dry mouth and tongue, loss of skin elasticity.
