I am a 23 year old female. I often get sudden cramps in lower abdomen and an urgency to go to toilet before passing a stool. During passing the stool I sometimes get chills. After passing the stool, the cramps get resolved. The stool is mostly yellow in colour with a mushy consistency. I pass stool 2-3 times per day. I usually feel full very soon after eating meals and feel bloated too a lot of times. After consuming certain foods, I feel an urgency to poop like after drinking milk or eating egg. Is all of this normal? What can I do?

Hi lybrate-user, I don't want to increase your stress levels. Because this is a stress related disease. And we call it irritable bowel syndrome. Here your lower bowels will move more than normally to cause a urge to go to stool. And this happens after eating, after taking stress, getting ready for some occasions, etc. The precipitating factors varies with individuals. And is it serious. No nothing is serious in you. You are absolutely fine. Because in this disease, there is no pathology that can be detected with investigations. I mean to say that it is a functional disease or you can say just a bowel movement disorder. Homeopathy can help you for sure. Try it.

Urgency to go toilet (urination) can be due to urinary tract infections. For this please get an urine routine microscopy examination.
