Occasion pain in the side of tongue (ranges once in between 4-6 months and resolves itself within 2-3 days), upon inspection a small black line appears on the tongue, during the period of pain, while chewing on that side hurts, extreme sensitivity in terms of flavor of food arises in that area of the tongue, burning sensation with spicy food and mild burning sensation with sugary item (no pain with liquid substance) is noticed. This has occurred after some bad dental work years ago, teeth near that very area was later polished when it happen to hurt days after, but the pain persisted. 52 y/o women.
