Dear madam, past 3 years I have been using nexito forte. But I can not stop this medication. How to control please kindly help me.

First split nexito forte combination into single tablets of its components, escitalopram and clonazepam and then taper and stop clonazepam. Stopping escitalopram will depend on severity and number of episodes till now, if you have reached remission and for how long you have been symptom free.

Dear Lybrate user nexito forte is given for anxiety disorders. You have not mentioned whethet this medicine has been prescribed by a psychiatrist or you are taking on your own. So now, as you had written that you have been taking it for last 3 yrs, you can't stop it just like that suddenly. You will have withdrawal symptoms. You need to consult the doctor, don't stop on your own. You need to reduce the dose slowly and then it can be stopped gradually but that also with the help of the doctor.
