Hi doctor. I had pain and little swelling on my right testicles got usg scrotum and whole abdomen together but surgeons found everything normal over there, but my pain was constant and swelling would appear in the morning and went down with zerodol sp tabs. When I stop painkillers the pain does come back doctor, got antibiotics if infection but still the same swelling and pain. Please do help me to cure this and be back to normal days. Ps: inguinal orifices are normal but bit anxious about inguinal hernia.

Hi lybrate-user, thank you for reaching out. I understand that your right testis might be painful and tender without significant swelling or increase in size to be detected on usg. Based on your findings thus far, inguinal hernia seems unlikely but there are several causes that come to mind including epididymitis, epididymo-orchitis, uti and so on. The doctor that you have consulted should be able to tell better and he has the advantage of having examined you. Examination of the lower abdomen and inguino-scrotal region play a vital role in diagnosis in cases like yours. In any case, clinical examination, inguino-scrotal usg along with lower abdomen/pelvis or maybe an mri, urine analysis and culture, etc. Are things that might be of help in reaching a conclusive diagnosis. That, in turn will translate into better treatment and faster relief. I cannot prescribe medicines here but if you need any help or have further queries, you can reach me on private chat here at Lybrate. I hope I have been of help. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

It’s very common, don’t worry, use scrotal support like a tight undergarment and also try not to lift heavy weight for sometime.
