For 10 mth old must give prophylactic daily recommended dose of 400 iu till 1 years of age. Also in case if vit d levels are less than 20 ng/ml then best is to give 2000iu daily vit d on daily basis for duration of 2 wks. But if compliance is issue then 60000 iu of vit d on alternate day or weekly dose for total of 5 doses.

Hi. No! pls don?t do all that without consultation of a paediatrician. Pls give 400 iu calcitriol daily once daily to the baby till 1 yr. After that give the baby 600 iu calcitriol till 1-2 years daily once daily. Thanks.
