Hi, normally bladder is supported by a sheet of tissue in front of the vaginal wall. This can get weakened or ruptured during pregnancy, child birth, chronic cough and aging, leading to bladder prolapse (cystocele). Heavy weight lifting can mildly increase the risk of having a bladder prolapse. However, regular graded weight training under proper guidance need not cause a prolapse. Doing regular kegel's exercise (pelvic floor muscle training) is very important to prevent prolapse. It should be done during even normal pregnancy. Wish you good health,
