Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Carpal tunnel syndrome is entrapment neuropathy of median nerve under flexor retinaculum which in simple words means that median nerve is getting compressed somewhere around the wrist region. As a result of this you can have pain, weakness, numbness and paresthesias. Treatment actually depends upon how sever the compression is and what for of management has been done so if you furnish all those details, maybe I can advise you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
