Compared to children, tonsillitis is less serious in adults. However, there are certain risk factors involving tonsillitis in adults. Age is one of the major factors. People over 65 years of age are more prone towards severeal infections that could be serious at times. If tonsils are still occuring even if you are an adult, it is definitely a concerning situation. Also asults who spend more time with children like parents, grandparents and teachers are more vulnerable to tonsillitis.
