People or children with tonsillitis should avoid food that may hurt throat or lead to further irritation and inflammation. Foods including - chips, dry cereal, raw carrots, raw apples, toast and crackers. In children, don't give aspirin to children younger than 16 years of age. Don?t smoke or let people smoke around your child. Make sure your child completes his antibiotic course toinsils are gone completely.
