Doctor I am 42 years of age. I have been facing a severe headache for the past few days. How do I know it is a migraine?

The exact cause of migraine is not completely known and understood but few factors such as genetics and environment play an important role in its cause. It is considered that migraine is the result of abnormal brain activity that affects the nerve signals, blood vessels, and chemicals in the brain. Any kind of change in the brainstem or its interaction with the trigeminal nerve which is regarded or considered as the main pain pathway.
