It needs to be taken from day 2 of period, not 4 days after periods ended. After starting pill, it takes 7 days for the drug to become effective. Having unprotected intercourse before 7 days increases you risk of pregnancy. Do not use novel on tablet 21's if you are pregnant or have recently delivered a baby.
