My age is 50 years. Recently, I underwent microscopic examination of right breast with fine needle aspiration. It suggested Benign proliferative breast disease with few atypical cells and advised excision biopsy. Please suggest me diagnosis.

Hello- There's nothing to worry about, as the tumor of your breast is benign (harmless) in nature. If the reports suggested malignancy (cancer) thn it was a bad news for you and excision was necessary, but thats not the case with you. Try this external ayurvedic treatment, it will minimise your proliferation and reduce local symptoms like pain and tenderness in breasts. 1)Tab Kanchanar guggulu 2 tab twice daily. 2)Tab Roudra ras 1 tab twice daily. 3)Ashwagandharistha 2 tsp twicedaily with water. 4)Apply Apamarga powder pack over the affected area twice daily.

Fine needle biopsy/ cytology can examine only few cells under microscope, benign means harmless but it can become a tumor, proliferative means, it is infiltrating on all directions (simple growth is stable & well defined) with few atypical cells - opposite of typical cells seen as a routine if a fibrous lump is present, excision biopsy will give a clear idea of growth & course of treatment to follow-chemo/radiotherapy or both to kill the dangerous cells from infitrating more, but before this minor surgery, get an ultrasound of breast done to be clear about size, shape & infiltration (tentacles). Do get excision biopsy for sure & share the report with us.

Diagnosis is benign proliferative breast disease. The tumor has to be removed asap. The tumor will again be sent for histopathology to reconfirm the diagnosis. After that further advise can be given.
