My son is 21 months old and has started walking recently and rarely with support. He walks frequently in the house and slowly in the park. He recognizes things but doesn't point to it nor does he wave. He tries to speak but till now he just says baba, papa, mumma and alexa also he responds to his name and performs other activities like a normal child. He is obsessed with utensils and often plays with it. We have him assessed by an autism expert and that condition was not diagnosed. Should I be worried.

Hii lybrate-user.hope you r doing well. As you wrote your child started walking and walks frequently in home but slowly in garden. Running usually occurs 18-24 months .its important to remember that each child is different and will meet milestones at different points, when they are ready .if your child is still trotting at snails pace, take a look at your living environment before you sounds alarms .is your child getting enough excercise to feel confident running, you hav to look for other physical attributes that may hinder running lik being flat footed or having feet that point inwards, or tippy toes if you notice such issue then schedule a conversation with your pediatrician.
