I'm 35 and was my first attempt to have sex. Normally my periods last for 6 days and never ever had delayed till last dec 2023. I was supposed to get my periods on 6 dec 2023 but I had an unprotected sex with my fiance on 2 dec 2023 just 4 days before my periods and next day on 3 dec I took an ipill almost after 20 hrs of sex then I didn't get my periods on 6 dec instead started on 13 dec but heavy flow. Today is 22 jan 2024 still my periods are missing why they r still missing? Am I pregnant or it is just a hormonal imbalance due to contraceptive? Now i'm very much worried becoz living in a conservative society. I want to know does an ipill delay periods if yes then how long it will take my body get back to normal. please help.

Yes, Ipill can delay the periods. As it causes hormonal imbalance, we cannot predict the severity or duration of the irregularities. Each patient responds differently.
