Hello doctors, In order to maximize our chances to conceive, we had intercourse daily from 10th to 18th day. 15th Jul was 18th day. When can we test the pregnancy whether conceived or not? Which is the most recommended way to test the pregnancy? Lastly, if periods do occur this month end as per cycle, is there a possibility that fertilization is done but periods occurred early / on time?

If her periods are delayed by more than 5 days, you can do the pregnancy test at home early morng on the 6th/7th day before going to the toilet. If negative, still periods not come, you can repeat the test after another 5 days. Several kits are available with chemist shop. Pregcolor is ok. If periods come in spite of fertilisation, it is due to failure of implantation. Usually as the embryo is implanting in the uterus around 25th day of the cycle she may experience slight cramps and some spots of blood. If the process is successful this problem vanishes in 3 days and the next period dies not come on the expected date. If it fails to implant, then the spots may advance to heavier bleeding like a period. So it is very difficult to identify whether it was a non pregnant menstrual bleed or implantation failure.
