Dear lybrate-user, bilirubin level gives reading for total bilirubin, direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin. It is not a drug to have side effect. If you want to know how much your alcohol has spoilt your liver, please give me ggt, sgot and sgpt levels in lft and also mcv in hemogram. If you come on private consultation, I can give you 10 questions on audit scale to find out your chances of becoming dependent on alcohol at the cost of your liver.
