I got shingles about 3 weeks back. Do I or my husband (age 69) need shingles vaccination done (Zostavax)?

Hello Ms. Lybrate-user, you can very well take the vaccine. But make sure that the current lesions have completely cured. Your husband also can take it. It gives protection for next 5 yrs. After that you might need a booster dose. But still the protection will not be 100%. It might give 60 -70% protection after vaccination.
