Have been taking Rosuvastatin for 7 years. And a diabetic. But all in control. But losing libido and erections. Can Statins be the cause.

Mr. lybrate-user, Long standing diabetes mellitus it self can be the cause of ED & loss of libido. Some recent studies have shown that there is a link between low testosterone level and Statin therapy. There is no definite cause and effect established. But it is certain that long standing diabetes even if there is less hyperglycemia, does produce ED.
Remedy is still have an excellent glucose control, plus use PDE - Inhibitors as and when needed. Thanks.

Statins are usually NOT known to cause low libido or lack of erections. Age could be a factor in your case. Also, habits such as alcohol intake need to be looked at. However, in most cases, the reasons are psychogenic.
