All doctors mostly say drinking alcohol is bad. I want to know what really happens inside the body for assimilating alcohol. That way it would be more convincing. 2ndly, alcohol being alcohol any way, it seems futile to say Brandy is good, wine is better, red wine is best, rum is good for health. Vodka is the best of all. Etc etc. Can someone enlighten if different types of alcohol really make any difference. 3rdly, I like to know if alcohol is best taken before food for good health or to minimize any damage to the body, during the food or after the food. Or at any time.

Dear Jaggi. I am going to enjoy giving you a reasonably convincing answer....... All body metabolism happens in an acidic environment. At the same time, the trigger for these activities also stimulated different processes that will wash out the by products, waste products, dead cells and tissue and drain out toxins from the system. Most of these activities take place in the Liver or are stimulated by different secretions of the liver. Now, alcohol being what it is, is acidic in nature. Alcohol that we consume, is made from different grains, fruit and involve different processes. Each variety accordingly stimulates different digestive secretions. The body can handle a certain volume that will help in the metabolism. An excess ("excess" entirely depends on body constitution and liver strength) will over stimulate or simply burn down the system. Since each alcohol type comes from different sources, they are to be taken at different times of the day or with different kinds of meals (read meat, white meat, wheat heavy like breads, with cheese, with fruit or after food or on empty stomach... ) Again, different kinds... rum, wine, whiskey... they come with different % or alcohol; so obviously, have their distinct impact on the system. In moderation, Wines are best for digestion and participate in detoxification. Rum helps the circulation and calm the nerves. Vodka, whiskeys stimulate to the peak of numbness. When ill, ailing, tired, on other drugs, any alcohol is bad. Hope this info helps regards
