Unfortunately today hot coffee dropped on my daughter (age is 3.5 years) thigh (on leg), then we immediately pass the cold water on the infected area. Infected area is about 3 Cm and 70% area does not have any bubble and rest of 30% area have two small bubble. Now we are using burnol at the infected area and very concern that if there would be any spot after healing or what kind of things we should take care so that we should do to avoid spot or if we need to use any other medicine. This incident has been happened on 8 Jan 2017 (10 PM) per Indian timings. Please advise and thank in advance.

Hot liquids generally cause scalds and are less severe because the hot fluid runs away immediately as soon as it falls on skin. Moreover if clothes are in between the skin and fluid, some heat is taken away by them. The injury produced is mostly superficial epithelial in nature and generally heals within 7 to 10 days without leaving any scar. Otherwise also the area affected in your child's case is thigh which is covered mostly so there is no fear of cosmetic disfigurement. You need not worry. The blisters which have formed if burst open will need cleaning and application of antibacterial creams and will heal normally.

Keep it covered. Apply Fucidin cream in the morning. And give some pain killer for faster healing.
