I am having piles for past some years. I am having hemorrhages, once often, mostly when I get constipation. I am trying medicines like piles or amorid (tablet ointment). Though I have temporary relief but the problem reoccurs once medicines are stopped. Now I have got 2 opinions for somewhat permanent cure1. Surgery to remove the piles. But my experience is that it is painful and piles re-emerges after some time, example my 2 friends had surgeries and pressure-pads some years back but problem resurfaced again. 2. Treating piles with non-allopathic medicines. My queries are 1. Which one is more reliable? And 2. Can I get rid off this problem?

Hi, 1st and 2nd degree piles can be well cured with Ayurvedic medicines. Recurrence of piles after surgery is due to persistence of constipation and intake of spicy food which gives rise to piles again. Avoid intake of coffee and tea. Eat one fully ripe big banana or orange everyday at bedtime. Do sitz bath daily and drink plenty of water. Increase intake of dietary fiber which helps in easy evacuation. Follow all these measures consistently for the rest of your life. If you interested in taking Ayurvedic medicines, consult me privately.

Mr Fayaz, Hemorrhoids (piles), is a recurring condition. Surgery gives comparatively a much long term relief. Now days laser surgery is supposed to be a much better option also seems to be better in terms of long lasting results. As regards trying other therapeutic approaches even those have a limited cure. You may try them out. Most important is to have regular bowel habits, avoid hardening of stools, increase intake of raw vegetables, salads and fruits. Take plenty of fluids, avoid spicy and deep fried foods. Increase fiber content in the diet. Thanks
