Hello, Your query is very nonspecific. There is absolutely no mention about what was the TSH level in the new born baby. When was the thyroxine started? What was the dose (mcg, not 1/4th tab). I am sure doctor has started the hormone because baby must be born with congenital hypothyroidism. Usually the baby improves rapidly and in some cases if thyroid function returns to normal, then need for the hormone will not be there. There is no reason to worry so much. Thanks.
