Dear lybrate-user, People survive without smoking and drinking. You can also survive. Because you have become dependent on smoking and drinking, you get withdrawal if you stop suddenly. But it can be done by controlling withdrawal symptoms with nicotine gum/patch, plenty of vitamins intravenously, benzodiazepine tablets or injection according to the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. With 1-2 weeks of admission to a hospital or any controlled centre, it can be done and you can survive without any symptoms. You are young. If you can motivate yourself for 3-6 months to stop both, you will succeed. All the best.
