Why was the ultrasound asked at this juncture. Usually its to confirm a pregnancy in uterus. So this ultrasound confirm that... Regarding continuing or not, the decision is made after knowing last menses date. If its corresponding to the fetal 6 weeks age, then just wait and repeat the ultrasound after 7-10 days. This repeat ultrasound must show fetal growth, pole and fetal heart. If its seen its a good pregnancy so continue. If the repeat scan is not showing pole or heart rate or if present ultrasound is showing lesser growth than required then seek consultation from expert gynecologist.
