In day to day life it is very difficult to detect color blindness, till you asked to recognize letters in Ishihara's test, there is no treatment for color blindness ,it is genetically transferred from mother or father side, colour blindness is only manifested in male & females are not colour blind but just they are carrier of genes of colour blindness, with regards.

Colour deficiency is usually a congential defect and cannot be rectified.
Usually Ishihara charts are used for colour vision testing. Very few people with normal colour vision will not be able to read those charts. If you feel you are one such person go to a tertiary care set up like AIIMS delhi and get a detailed evaluation and other colour vision tests like Anamoloscope/ Franswoth Munsel test/ERG done.
