Dr. Acharya is serving presently as the Excecutive Director of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. His distinguished career spans more than 3 decades at the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi and has retired as Professor and Head, Department of Gastroenterology. Under his leadership, the department of Gastroenterology at AIIMS became one of the top departments of the country.He continues his association with the institute post retirement as professor Emiritus.His ability to analyze in-depth the problems of his patients, to present precise and well-thought-out diagnosis, and to suggest the best possible treatment tailored to patients' individual needs has earned him the reputation of a prominent gastroenterologist.
