No. The fomite (virus) from someone's cough/ sneez stays on the outer part of your mask and gloves. You can get infected by touching your face or eyes.

It’s a serious problem if patient is spitting blood while coughing. You need to immediately consult a Doctor and get his Blood tests and X-ray Chest.
