ABOUT Dr. ABHISHEK KALUNDIA Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist Dr Abhishek Kalundia is currently doing research in Veterinary Hematology and Transfusion Medicine as a PhD scholar in the Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, India as an ICAR-SRF candidate. He joined Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandary (B.V.Sc & A.H.) Ranchi Veterinary College, Jharkhand, India in the year 2004. He went through a tedious and excellent veterinary training and education in large and small animals as well as in avians for 5 years. He scored All India 8th rank in Indian Council of Agricultural Research PG entrance (ICAR-PG) - 2009. He worked next two years in College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad as Post Graduate Scholar and Junior Duty Doctor in OPD ward of Small Animal Section and successfully completed his Masters in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) from the Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Medicine in the year 2011. Dr Abhishek practiced as a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist in Hyderabad during 2009 - 2014. During which, he was awarded with Intas Young Scientist Award - 2012 by The Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine, based on his outstanding research work in the various Endoscopy and Ultrasonographic procedures in dogs. His research works and articles have been published in several leading national veterinary research journals. He is also a certified Small Animal Dermatologist and Specialist in Small Animal Loco-motor & Joint diseases and Pain management. He is a well trained Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgeon with a record of more than 3500 successful abdominal, dental and ophthalmic surgeries. He was the senior residential veterinarian of Small Animal Critical Care and Emergency Unit in Hyderabad, India, till 2014.
