Anti-Mullerian hormones are also known as Mullerian inhibiting substance. AMH is produced by the granulosa cells lining the ovarian follicles so it is used to determine the number of antral follicles in the ovaries. The AMH tests are used to decide the fertility level of a woman, lower the AMH level lower is the fertility level of a woman. AMH levels decrease with growing age and don't change suddenly during the menstrual cycle. AMH levels not vary during the menstrual cycle and can be determined even on non-menstrual days.
