Yes, with your psychiatrist advise you can mix and give. Leaving one medicine asprito and giving the other may not be beneficial, sometimes defeats the purpose. Asprito also come under the brand name arip mt mouth dissolving form, which easily dissolves. Good luck.

Dear Unmesh,
There is no hard and fast rule about total completion of the cycle. Nexito plus may take about 2-3 weeks to take action itself. After that adjustment of dose will be done. Even after recovery from depression, you may have to continue tablets for 3-6 months. You need to be on regular follow up with your doctor every 2-3 weeks for assessment of benefit and side effect.
Asprito may be given only till the psychotic symptom persists. It may be stopped once suspicious ideas, suici...more

Hello lybrate-user,
schizophrenia is disorder which requires careful monitoring and correct dosages by a psychiatrist who is well versed with the management. Asprito is used for many psychiatric disorders. I feel though you can try holistic measures and spritual healing you will be better off continuing the medication. You can visit your doctor who has prescribed the medicine and he will modify or prescribe other medication. It is wise to visit a psychiatrist.

Dear Unmesh,
There is no fixed time duration for these tablets. It depends on the diagnosis. Even after focussing well, you need to continue them for few more months to maintain the benefit. Discuss with your doctor and be regular for the follow up consultations.

Yes, that is true but you need a three year use of the medication along with therapeutic intervention to remain episode-free to then gradually wean you off of the medication. If you repeat psychotic breakdowns, it will only worsen the recovery process for the future. These are strong psychotropic drugs and need to be used as per prescription and carefully monitored by the doctor only when attempting to reduce the dosage. In counseling you will learn a lot of skills and tools to apply and regain ...more

Risperidone is pregnancy category c. Which means use if benefits outweigh the risks. Same for asprito. There are not enough studies to say that the drug is safe during pregnancy. Having said that mental health of mother during and after pregnancy is of utmost importance. So many a times medication is necessary and you should consult a psychiatrist for the same.
Hope this helps. All the best!

Dear lybrate-user
Always consult your treating doctor about dosages.
If you have stopped medication, discuss with your doctor what is making you uncomfortable and then modify medication if needed.
