It is always good to prior opion on these before stopping after results. No it might not be necessary to continue through out life. You can taper dosages gradually after consultation. Meanwhile you need to continue you diet and exercise get lipid profile after 3 months
avoid sugary, carbonated food, refined,processed food

Saroglitazaar is not used for Diabetes Mellitus, but used to reduce blood Triglycerides level. Other than this medication, Niacin or Fenofibrate can also be used to reduce Triglycerides. Reduction in Triglycerides can have positive effect on the blood sugar levels.

Continue with the medication and few tips on diet - say no to maida items like toast , khaari ,naan ,white bread . can drink tea but without sugar and say no to Buffalo milk and can drink cows milk , can eat brown bread , can eat sprout’s , can eat green vegetables, can eat chappati ,bajra ka rotla can eat one katori of rice twice a day with dal and to avoid farsan food items and can eat fruits and say no to coconut water

There is no medicine for a lifelong, as life goes on your triglyceride level will change .if it found to be normal after 2 repeat test you can try to stop it for a month then test again under observation of your treating doctor or can take online consultation with me.
