Great question Aarti.
Yeast is a type of fungal infection which means that there are other fungal infections that are not yeast infections.

Hello doctors, i'm a 28 years old female. I have a problem of having white vaginal discharge daily. It's stressing me out because my partner said that he finds it unattractive for me to have too much vaginal discharge always. Which medicine or over the counter product I can use to stop the excessive vaginal discharge? I didn't have that much vaginal discharge when I was a virgin and not sexually active. I started to get this much vaginal discharge after becoming sexually active. My vagina is wet even when i'm not sexually aroused. It's because of the discharge. Is this a yeast infection or something else? I don't have a itching or burning sensation like a typical yeast infection does. I've had yeast infections before when I was not sexually active and it was itching and burning when I had it and not like this. What I now have is much different and my only symptom is having daily white vaginal discharge. I don't know if it's connected to the vaginal discharge but when I had sex after about a year of absence from sex, I had a posterior fourchette tearing on my vaginal entrance. The tear healed on it's own after few days but came back after having sex again. I went to a doctor and she considered it as a yeast infection and prescribed me a clotrimazole candid-v gel to apply inside my vagina with an applicator. But I didn't use it yet fearing I would cause a burning sensation inside my vagina if I applied it inside my vagina. Please tell me a name of a medicine or a over the counter product or home remedy which I can use for stopping daily vaginal discharge. Thanks for taking your time for reading this.

Yes. U can safely use it. But if your itching does not go away, you may need to consult a gynaec to rule out other causes of itching.

Balanitis is most common in uncircumcised men. Causes include skin disorders, infection, poor hygiene, uncontrolled diabetes and harsh soaps.
Symptoms include pain, redness and a foul-smelling discharge from under the foreskin.
Treatment depends on the cause, but may require antibiotics, steroid creams or antifungal creams. In extreme cases, the foreskin may need to be removed (circumcision).

The condition most often occurs when people wear tight-fitting clothing that traps in moisture.

Keep the affected area dry.
Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear.
Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents.
