Taxim contains cefixime which is not a good choice for skin infections. Ideally culture and sensitivity of the pus should determine the choice of antibiotic. You must visit a registered dermatologist in your area who will ascertain the diagnosis and treat emperically based on local bacterial resistance pattern till culture reports ate available.

Hi.
Considering your age, site of pain, your family doctor may be correct in diagnosis. To confirm that you should visit a surgeon and get treated. As such your ongoing antibiotic is concern, don't about the side effects, as they are usually rare, usually mild and very short term. It is safe, don't worry.

Dear , you are on right track but stop uriliser as it should not be given with ofloxacin. If your symptoms have gone then stop urispas after 5 days but continue taxim-of for at least 15 days and check urine. You have to give time for the medicines to work it takes time to get better.
