I had malaria, artesunate injection was given, compounder mixed dry powder with another soluble instead of other soluble which was in packed artesunate injection pack, I am worried, can it harm me, please reply soon.

The second packet you can be the powder mor mixing with saline for making a solution and hence not mixed with main drug.

My mother had dengue ns1 positive ,platelets count 47000 on day 2 of hospitalization ,on day 1 it was 39000, treatment given includes falcigo inj, artesunate inj, iv fluids, dexa inj and salines, is that right treatment want ro know? Now no fever and body pain only platelets are low.

Malaria symptoms can be classified in two categories: uncomplicated and severe malaria.
Uncomplicated malaria-
Sensation of cold, shivering
Fever, headaches, and vomiting (fits sometimes occur in young children)
Sweats followed by a return to normal temperature, with tiredness.
Severe malaria-
Fever and chills

Good day. Please i'll like to know what could be the cause of weakness after stooling. It's been 2 months now that I treated malaria. Though I was told the test result returns acute malaria and typhoid. I was given artemether and artesunate injection and drip. But ever since i've always been weak and also find it difficult swallowing. Pls what can be the problem cause lately my stooling has become 3-7 times daily and every time i'm always so weak to stand on my own. It's also accompanied by a rumbling and aching stomach.

Got fever 104f on 6/4/16 wt some chills. Got tested. Found malaria & typhoid +ve. Bt the pattern of fever didn't match any of these two. Bt. Started Artesunate + mefloquine for malaria & levoflox for typhoid. Fever remained low grade 100f for next 3-4 days. Then started to remain sub-normal (arnd 97.2f) till date. Feel cold in this summer also. CBC, LFT, KFT, Urine test all normal. HIV -ve. Chest x-ray clear, Thyroid tests OK. Appetite ok. No loss of weight. Before this fever I was healthy. Wt can be the reason. Can anyone explain.

Previous Answer: u have responded well to the antibiotics given and ur reports too says u had malaria and typhoid.
It takes few weeks to recover from post illness weakness .
Eat soft diet/healthy diet as tolerable.Eat fruits.
Drink plenty of liquids. Take adequate rest

In past two weeks I suffered from viral fever. I was hospitalized. I was given monocef twice a day for five days and minocycline for 7 days. After that I was put on artesunate course. My all blood reports and urine reports were normal as per doctor. Dengue typhoid malaria test were negative too. Lft and Rft test were normal as well. Only thing which troubled me was fever. Max fever was 101.9.I was admitted for 11 days. Now I have been discharged and it's been a week time. I still have low fever and get exhausted. My both feet pains on upper side near middle finger of feet. Pain is exactly on same spot on both feet. What shall I do.

I have a history of falciparum malaria. I had it 5 months ago. Back then, I was admitted in a hospital and was prescribed iv artesunate for a week along with some iv antibiotics and then a 14 day course of primaquine. I finished the entire course of medicines. Occasionally I get these weird symptoms like sudden itching on my back and head, fatigue, stomach cramps. And these weird symptoms began after I got malaria. So it makes me think that I still have asymptomatic malaria. Is it possible to have it without fever? And also I have read on google that falciparum malaria can increase your risk of burkitt's lymphoma? Is that true? I consulted my family physician regarding my concern about malaria but he dismissed everything I said saying that its just anxiety.

YOu have to give the full report of the blood test and Artesunate is a medication used to treat malaria. The intravenous form is preferred to quinidine for severe malaria. Often it is used as part of combination therapy.

You have not mentioned the age and reports of the investigations done so far. Your child seems to be suffering from recurrent urinary tract infection which would need detailed evaluation like ultrasound whole abdomen including kuv and plane and contrast ct scan kuv to rule out any blockage in the passage.
