In summary, denatonium benzoate appears to be safe when used at low concentrations as an aversive agent but should be avoided when child sucks. Pl do not use it. There are simple herbs those can be applied on nipple. Pl consult for details.

Femite is a safe preparation, it is not really a medicine but rather just a herbal kind of preparation (like neem juice) which helps in controlling thumb sucking behaviour in children thumb sucking can continue till the age of 2-5 years and is considered normal upto 2 years of age. Though the success rates are variable, no adverse effects have been reported.

There is no proof that such reactions may cause cancer, though we must avoid preservatives and chemicals in the diet as far as possible. Amla juices are good for health, enhance immunity And has protective role from not only cancer but also other diseases. Different sources may have different preservatives and consistency may vary, but consuming it fresh would be ideal.

This comes under obsession, try to apply a clear, bitter-tasting nail polish to the nails. Normally denatonium benzoate is used, the most bitter chemical compound known. The bitter flavor discourages the nail-biting habit.

The femite solution is toxic and if inhaled, it can cause a lot of effects like confusion, behavioural problem, agitation and so on. The age of 4 years is not an issue and gentle and loving counselling and advice will change the habit.
